  • The Lessons

We first introduce the student to the vehicle. Followed by how to optimally setup the controls to minimize blind-spots, and reduce reactions times. Taking an easy start we move through low traffic areas, generally around the students home. We introduce the student to basic driving techniques, including stopping distances and turning radius’s. This lesson fulfills the CA DMV’s initial behind the wheel training requirement to allow your drivers to drive with parents.
Building upon the previous lesson we introduce the student to hill starts, parallel parking, and heavier road traffic. Moving to downtown areas we show the student what they should be aware of, as the first few encounters with heavy traffic can be stressful. We work with the student within there comfort level making sure the lessons taught are retained.
In general, our third lesson is devoted to the freeway. Teaching the importance of merging at the proper speed, keeping enough following distance, and being aware of their surroundings. This enables the student to have the tools they need to become excellent drivers.
This lesson is a DMV pre-test. We go over every item the DMV will be looking for when the student goes in for their exam. We work with the student to correct bad habits that may have formed as well as giving them the extra confidence they need to pass the California behind-the-wheel driving exam.
This lesson sometimes replaces Lesson 3 for students who have been showing excelling driving ability and are comfortable on the freeway. Driving on extremely narrow “country” roads, we focus on car control. The lesson forces the student to truly drive the vehicle, no following others and no cruising. How are we different?

    Our Instructors
The core of our program, our instructors are college educated and most would be self described gear heads. They are here because they want to make a difference in people’s lives. Car control and awareness are our specialty. Most instructs have race track experience on tracks such as Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway, and others.
    Saving Lives
So many people learn to drive with misconceptions and improper tools. By bringing an advanced level of training to our lessons we give our students the ability to make the correct decisions on the road.
    The Race Track
Driving a car on a race track is the pinnacle of car control. Taking over ten years of on-track experience, our owner has created lessons plans that stress the fundamentals of driving control and awareness. With our program we a foundation for each driver is created. This foundation allows them to keep learning as they drive and to keep themselves, their friends, and their family’s safe behind the wheel.
